CQ Weekly (Restricted to UMD faculty/students) offers weekly analysis of news from Capital Hill as well as Congressional roll call votes. CQ Weekly claims it is "the choice of 95% of members of Congress." Nevertheless, its articles are written in lay language and are easily understood by those of us living outside the beltway. The database contains information dating back to 1983.

GovTrack is the "pet project" of U-Penn Graduate student Joshua Tauberer. Mr. Tauberer's site pulls together voting records with information on campaign finance (by linking to OpenSecrets) and the status of federal legislation. The site also allows you to monitor legislation and cross reference House and Senate speeches with the piece of legislation being discussed.

Project Vote Smart allows you to access "Key Votes" for your Federal representatives and senators.  Project Vote Smart is developing a voting records database for state representatives.

Roll Call (House of Reps) is the Office of the Clerk's online Roll Call site.

Roll Call (Senate) is the Senate's online Roll Call site.

Votes Database
allows you to identify the voting records of their House and Senate representatives. The database also lets you browse votes going back to 1991.
