How we can help you!
Learning Commons - 1st Floor, Library
Integrating technology in a service-centered space, the Learning Commons provides support for research, technology and collaborative learning. We endeavor to provide seamless access to research and technology help along with direct access to a large array of information resources and productivity tools.
Our reference librarians can help with all aspects of your research, including coming up with a good research question, finding books, articles and quality online sources, using Interlibrary Loan to get material from other libraries, using Refworks to make citing your papers a breeze, and much more. Check for your librarian subject liaison who can answer more in-depth questions in your area of study.
IT Help - Learning Commons (LC) Assisants:
If you need help using Learning Commons technology, our LC assistants are here to help! And that's not all they do; they help students set-up their laptops for wireless connectivity, troubleshoot technical issues and assist in using COIN. Contact: x8884
Have a quick IT question, try the CITS New Students Info page.
Scholarly Commons & Digital Media Center - 2nd Floor, Library
Designed with larger workspaces, the Scholarly Commons (SC) offers students (Grad and UnderGrad) to work together or to meet with faculty and librarians to work on projects, assignments and research. The Digital Media Center (DMC) situated within the SC is designed for to provide an optimal environment for both individual and group work with the tools and software required for multimedia design and creation.
We have three computer classrooms in the library.
- Room 128 (Computer Lab) in the Learning Commons (1st Floor, Library)
- Room 225 in the Scholarly Commons (2nd Floor, Library)
- Room 226 in the Scholarly Commons (2nd Floor, Library)
Often these rooms are booked with library instruction sessions or other instruction. When we are not using them for formal instruction, they are open for anyone. We keep schedules on the rooms to let you know availability, but you can also check their availabilty in ReservIT.
